A Swedish Fish, A Jolly Rancher and a Credit Card

What does a Swedish fish candy, a jolly rancher and a credit card have in common? They all fell through the tiny crack between my car seat and the console--and were long gone and forgotten until something really important fell through the crack--my driver's license. Then I noticed all that had "gone by the wayside."

This got me thinking about how life works. Sometimes the crack is so small we don't notice what is "falling through." I remember when I "lost" that credit card. I couldn't imagine where it went. It was important, but I never even searched my car for it. In fact, I searched everywhere but my car?

I'm asking you to check in with yourself and consider whether "something" is falling through the cracks in your life. If it's not important (a piece of candy) no worries, but if it is important--then let's pay attention. We have to do something about that.

For starters, how do you know? Slow down and ask yourself--does it feel like something missing? Is there something I'd like more of in my life? Is there something that used to bring me joy (a hobby, a friend) and I haven't had that lately? Is there something out of alignment between who I am--and what I am actually doing? Am I feeling out of sync or off balance?

When life gets busy, or you get distracted, it's easy for things to fall through the cracks. But your life matters all the time. Who you are matters all the time. So give yourself a brief check in--and then decide what the next right thing to do is. And then just do it. Let it be easy. See what happens when you find the very thing you've been looking for.

I am cheering you on every step of the way!

PS TODAY--YES TODAY, Wednesday June 26 at 4PM I am hosting my BOUNDARIES UP interactive zoom session. You are invited. All you need is a blank sheet of paper and a pen. I will guide you through the rest! Very casual and very important--even in the summer to keep your boundaries in place so you get what you want. Here is the link again. Feel free to share it with a friend. All are welcome.
