Whose Voice Matters the Most?

As a coach and speaker, I am always swimming in the social media "bubble" of advice givers. And thanks to the mysterious "algorithm" that drives content to my feed, I see what other coaches and speakers and everyone else who has two cents to add, are saying about everything.
It's exhausting.
For every post I read about struggling through the messy middle, dreaming big, staying the course, I see just as many posts about getting in the flow, trusting the universe, envisioning and then releasing the vision to get what you want.
Who is right? How do you know?
I think most of us want to live the best life we can. The people I meet want to be healthy, vibrant, active, energized, connected to others, interested in hobbies and causes, purposeful, creative, contented, happy, blissful... tell me more. And, I think that as we change and age, that picture changes and ages along with us.
Two things are true.
On the one hand, it is worthwhile to hear from trusted voices about their point of view and perspective, but on the other hand, it is more important to trust yourself.
No one knows you as well as you do. No one can tune into your intuition and the callings in your heart that inspire you. No one can tell you what you are capable of. You have the market cornered on that, for yourself.
So listen. Slow down and listen to what it is you really want, for now.
Life moves quickly--my 87 year old dad has a bad dad joke about this--life is like a roll of toilet paper, the closer you get to the end, the faster it goes. (sorreee)
Give yourself permission to want something you've never wanted before. Give yourself permission to let go of a dream that doesn't suit you anymore. Give yourself space to try something brand new just for fun.
I am always cheering you on, wishing you the best, and hoping you are living your life on your terms!
xo Coach Karen :))
